Our venue is centrally located in the Illawarra, North of Wollongong.
We have parking facilities at the door and off street. It is a walking distance from the Fairy Meadow and North Wollongong station.

  NWIS is an ideal venue to host birthday parties and other special events. Our indoor sports centre caters for youth groups, scouts and kids birthday parties.

Indoor Cricket

Indoor cricket was originated in Perth, Australia, in the 70’s, and has become a sport dominated by players of every age and its popularity has spread over to countries like South Africa, England, Sri Lanka, New Zealand, England and many others.

At North Wollongong Indoor sports we have an artificial grass court at the size of 28mx10m. With approximately a 4 meter high ceiling the cricket court is fenced around with a tight fitted net.

One of the advantages of our centre is that we also provide a practice cricket wicket with a bowling machine for those who want to develop their cricket skills.

Indoor Soccer

Indoor Soccer is one of the most popular sports played around the world. Our centre facilitates both rebound soccer and futsal. Our indoor soccer court is 540 square meters with tongue-groove timber floor that is sprung loaded.

Indoor Netball

Netball was originally introduced to schoolchildren as ‘women’s basketball’. For the first time, in 1991, the world championships in Sydney was played indoor and today selected competitions are played in indoor centres. Both men and women now dominate the game and we have scheduled games for ladies only and games allowing both men and women to participate.

Competitions

Our evening competitions cater for men, ladies and mixed as well as offering school activities.

We also cater for afternoon junior soccer and junior netball. Other activities include youth groups and party hire.

Our evening competitions are divided into three separate seasons:

Summer competition commences in February and runs for approximately 18 weeks,
Winter competition commences in June and runs for approximately 12 weeks
Spring competition commences in September and runs for approximately 16 weeks.

The semi-finals and finals of all competitions are conducted on Sundays where we invite family and supporters of all teams to attend and enjoy the festivities.
